Dr. Robert Adam

Dr. ROBERT ADAM is a Comprehensive Medical and Surgical Ophthalmologist who treats  both adult and pediatric patients with a variety of medical conditions.   His surgical practice is focused on cataract and refractive surgery as  well as both functional and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids.  Dr. Adam  attended the University of Western Ontario where he received his  undergraduate degree with distinction. From there he obtained his  medical degree with honours from the University of Toronto.  Dr. Adam  completed a post-doctoral fellowship in ophthalmology at McMaster  University where he served as chief resident.  Dr. Adam is currently a  member of the ophthalmology department at the St. Joseph’s Health Centre  in Toronto.  He is a dual appointed faculty member at both the  University of Toronto and McMaster University, where he is actively  involved in clinical, surgical and didactic teaching for residents and  medical students.  He is presently serving a two year term as Secretary  for the Eye Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (EPSO).  Dr. Adam also  performs laser refractive surgery at Lasik MD in Toronto and Hamilton.   Dr. Adam volunteers his time with CNIB’s Mobile Eye Care Clinic, a  fully-equipped, medical eye care clinic on wheels that carries out  vision screening, eye treatments and minor surgeries in remote Ontario  communities.
